Hemp Banana Blend

banana heartI’m eating raw this week and it’s more fun than I imagined it’d be. I get to experiment w with my meal creations – revving up ingredients in blends to make sure I’m getting enough protein, fat + carbs. Macronutrients. Adding in ingredients like flax, hemp + chia seeds. Spirulina  + Maca. Berries. Greens. Drizzles of honey. Avocados + sprouts. Almonds + cashews. Researching food and nutrition. New recipes and health blogs.

I made a creation to replace my typical eggs, spinach + Ezekiel toast breakfast. It’s a cold, hearty oatmeal-ish/cereal type of breakfast and I love it.

Hemp Banana Blend: 3 T. hemp seeds, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 cup almond milk, 2 T. flax seed, 3 T. unsweetened coconut flakes, 1 t. vanilla, cinnamon love. Blend it all up. Add 1 T. chia. Leave in fridge over night. Add blueberries in the AM. Eat w a spoon or drink it. YUM!
